Forum Timing Tool
Due to the amount of members needing to advance the ip timing myself and davey-b have put together a timing tool for Bosch and Bosch copy ip\'s.
1 x DTI gauge
1 x adaptor to fit Bosch VE, diesel kiki, nipondenso ip\'s with M8, M10 and M12 threads.

It will not work on all cars but after a wile we will get a good idea of cars it can be used on.

At present we know it works on XUD\'s, VW\'s and Mitsubishi none common rail.

If you need to use this kit just post on hear.

The idea is once you receive it keep it until the next member needs it, at which you post it (using a recorded delivery service and post the tracking No on hear) to them that way we all save on postage.

all we ask is you donate at least £1 to the forum for the use of it and if it gets damaged you replace.

Please note new members will need to have bean active member for at least 3 months (we don\'t wont to risk it going missing)
and I remind everyone that we will have your address.

How does that sound Dave ?

Many thanks,
Excellent idea - I could do with timing my pump (after the injectors are sorted).

Might be worth requesting that it always gets sent with recorded delivery?

Many thanks,
Great idea - but 10 posts?? I\'d suggest a few more and a decent length of membership - at the end of the day the item has a value....

Many thanks,
Just a thought you could ask for a paypal deposit from the member and then you send it back when the item has been received by the next member ...? Got to this topic by searching through the forums about bosch pumps. I was thinking of switching out my lucas pump for a bosch pump and as I understand I would need to change the timings as the bosch is 90 degrees out of phase ...

Jeffs,

Ran a 93' 306 1.9D on 100% Vegetable oil (well you know the score, when its warm enough!)
225,000 miles on the clock, 20,000 Vegetable oil. *RIP to the scrapyard!*

Now running a 1996 306 TD Sedan - 122,000 Miles - 2000 on Vegetable oil

Many thanks,
Hi megamonkey

I don\'t think asking for a deposit would work very well as it may be months before it\'s passed to the next person.

As for changing your pumps, the Bosch is 90 degrees out but that\'s done by moving the mounting studs but you will still need to set the timing up.
You will also need the injectors (different pressure settings), injector pipes (or two pipes are different) and pump.

What car is it ?
