Poll: Do you consider your own views to be more politically "right wing" or "left wing" (your own views - NOT who are you going to vote for!)
I think my views are more right wing.

poll - do you consider your views to be "left wing" or "right wing"?
Its interesting for me - i would imagine that the majority of the folk on this forum are not exactly rolling in money, however a lot of the views expressed seem to be pretty 'right wing' in context.

...which i find curious. But then maybe ive just mis-interpreted things.

So, i thought id run a poll.

So as not to muddy the water, you have two choices, right or left - no center. If you really cant decide which, then dont vote.

Also this isn't a poll for labor vs conservatives - its a poll as to your own political views.

For reference, this is the definition to use in this poll -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-wing_politics
or
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing_politics

14 views, and no votes? Its an anonymous poll - you dont have to justify your vote.

RE: poll - do you consider your views to be "left wing" or "right wing"?
I was left wing when I was in my 20,s but thankfully I grew out of it. Churchill said some thing to the effect "he who has not been a socialist before he is 40 has no heart. He who is still a socialist after he is 40 has no head". I think theres some truth in that.
I'm bemused why people think someones political beliefs should be attached to their personal wealth. I have thought long and hard over the years about what I believe and why I believe it. I believe what I believe because I think it is the correct way to run the country / world, not because it may benefit my bank balance.
I'm poor because I was a lazy rebellious arsehole at school and have suffered for it ever since. I don't blame it on anyone but myself.

There's certainly a good mix on the forum, I used to be far more right than I am now (though nowhere near as right as my father was) but the view/poll that would interest me would have too many options to make definitive reading.
Right wing/Brexit
Left wing/Brexit
Centre/Brexit
Right wing/Remain
Left wing/Remain
Centre/Remain
And all those options with "Which takes precedence 'Political leaning' or 'EU membership' ?"

Honesty Sincerity and Integrity..... When you can fake those, You've cracked it.

There isn't really a "Right wing" or a "Left wing" . . .

There's a Right and wrong.

No. If you go far enough to the left or the right, you end up in the same place. It isn't linear, its a pendulum.

RE: poll - do you consider your views to be "left wing" or "right wing"?
My personal opinion is that Mr Churchill was wrong but I put that down to Nurture .

I am a pragmatic socialist on some subjects my opinions are so left wing I can shake hands with the extreem right wingers
I am by nature and nurture a scocialist but never could become a comunist .
I consider myself to be someone who refuses to belive in dogma.
But must myself find as mutch information as I can on any given subject wherever I can get it from and then weigh it and consider it for myself .
Even then I conceed it is not imposible though highly improbable that some may consider my opinions may be ever so slightly flawed .

Bradders I fink circular would be a beter fit for pendulum .
My reasoning is this our greatest political thinkers eventualy become high speed ozalem fuzalem birds.

RE: poll - do you consider your views to be "left wing" or "right wing"?
There is not really any 'right' or 'left' wing views.
There is only my opinion, that I hold at the moment, which is correct.
Then there is yours: which I will listen to with care and thoughtful understanding before saying it's wrong. That's the true liberal way.
