FlowPlast 15mm plastic pipe & fittings
Hi All

Plumbing up the vent side of my reactor, and whilst I will be using 15mm copper to the top of the condenser, is there any good reason not to use plastic for the \"return\" to the venturi? It will be at atmospheric pressure and not too hot, but would the methanol vapour affect the pipe or fittings. As always your advice greatly appreciated

Cheers

I used 3/4\" (fits over 15mm copper) clear braided hose which has been fine for years. Like you say, vapour should be nice and cool by then, provided you never forget to turn on the condenser water pump Smile

I wouldn\'t use the plastic fitting, they have an o-seal in them and need pressure to get a good seal, but use compression fittings with liners
