TAM105 shock

i walked in machine mart today exited about buying my new pump for £35 when i found the tam105 was priced at £58 inc vat! and it said clearly water only!
i nearly left the shop thinking i had made a mistake but luckily the assistant was clued up and he said he had heard of people running oil through them and that import duty had risen steeply causing the price hike. so i bought it...
now just to clarify, can i reduce the sizing from 1" to 15mm without causing problems, and does the pump need any mods to run oil instead of water?

Don't reduce the input bore, 1"/28mm unless absolutely necessary.

The out put can be reduced to 22mm without any serious affect on flow.

If you intend to use 15mm pipe on your processor just DON'T, go for 22mm minimum.

As for price increases just wait 'til January 2011, VAT will push the prices up by 2.5%

I'd only go down to 22mm as 15mm will reduce the flow greatly.

No you don't need to do any mods, just plumb it in and go.
