www.make-biodiesel.org

Just gave make-biodiesel.org a face-lift. It's a free web site showing how to make biodiesel at home. Check it out and please post your opinions here.

Thanks
Rick

Rick is definately not a "newbie" and anyone who visits the Infopop forum will have seen his posts. He has been around a long while and has spent a lot of time and effort putting together his web site.

Not sure what you are refering to Roger but Rick is based in the USA and his site is an information site. I doubt he would be advertising anything with UK VAT on it.

The only adverts I see are what look like sponsored links to Ebay.co.uk

Google selects the ads based on the content of the page and the IP (location) of the reader. When you click on an advert, I get a few pence from the advertiser. To my knowledge clicking on the advert is free to the reader.

I have blocked a number of ads I felt were posted by scam artists. If you see an ad on my site for a disreputable company, let me know and I'll look into blocking their ads.

The advertisements help me to pay for hosting and third party software development. It does not come close to paying me for the time I've spend developing the site, even at pennies per hour. The site is a hobby for me, not a business enterprise.

As far as VAT goes, the only things certain in life are death and taxes.

Just added a new article for anyone interested, The Carbide Manometer.

It describes how to use and build a DIY tool for accurately measuring water content of biodiesel and oil below 1500 ppm. Cost to get going is under 20 euro.
